The inclusion of advising and applying for a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) on behalf of clients is a new addition to his portfolio of services.
The LPA service came about after a couple of difficult family issues on health and financial matters. The Government website of the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) offers a free service to complete an LPA online or print off the documents for filling in manually. However, getting the correct data entered is fraught with pitfalls from using incorrect terminology, names and addresses incorrectly spelt, through to signature and dating issues on various pages.
Paul provides this service with an initial free telephone consultation, offering professional friendly advice. This will be followed up with a home visit to explain how the Lasting Powers of Attorney work and talk through the decisions that you need to make prior to the application to register an LPA with the OPG.
